Secure Credit Enrollment

Enrollment is a two-step process. Complete Step 1 first — your Smart Credit membership provides the three-bureau monitoring we work from. Then complete Step 2 in CDM, our secure client portal.

Step 1

Enroll in Smart Credit monitoring

Opens Smart Credit’s secure signup in a new tab. Takes about five minutes. Uses our sponsor referral so the two systems link automatically for report import.

The Program

What the Restoration Process Looks Like

Credit restoration is not a one-time fix or a promise of a specific score. It is a monthly, evidence-based dispute cycle we manage on your behalf while you keep paying and monitoring. Here is what the program looks like from Day 1 forward.

Phase 1

Weeks 1–2

Onboarding & Report Audit

  • Smart Credit enrollment linked to your CDM file.
  • We import your three-bureau credit report into CDM.
  • We build a written Credit Analysis — a PDF audit that identifies every error, inconsistency, and disputable item on your report.
  • You receive the audit and a short call to walk through what we found and what we recommend disputing first.

Phase 2

Months 1–6 (typical)

Dispute Rounds

  • We prepare and mail dispute letters to the credit bureaus (and, when appropriate, directly to creditors and collectors) on your behalf.
  • Bureaus have up to 30 days under the Fair Credit Reporting Act to investigate and respond.
  • You forward any mail you receive from the bureaus or creditors to us the same week it arrives.
  • Each month we review the responses, log outcomes in your portal, and prepare the next round for items still on the report.

Phase 3

Ongoing

Monitoring & Rebuild

  • We watch your Smart Credit dashboard for new accounts, hard pulls, and score changes.
  • You keep every open account paid on time — this is the single biggest factor in your score recovery.
  • We advise on utilization, mix, and — when it fits your file — secured tradelines or authorized-user strategy to rebuild positive history.
  • When the file is stable, we hand you a written summary of what changed and what to protect going forward.

Timelines vary by file. Some clients see meaningful movement in the first 60 days; others take longer depending on the age and volume of items being disputed. We do not guarantee specific score outcomes — we guarantee the process, the documentation, and the communication.

Your Part

What We Need From You

This is a partnership. Your engagement determines pace as much as ours does. Here is what you commit to when you sign the service agreement.

1

Keep Smart Credit active

Your Smart Credit membership must stay current. If it lapses we lose the daily three-bureau data feed we depend on to see changes and confirm dispute outcomes.

2

Forward bureau & creditor mail promptly

Bureaus and creditors respond by physical mail. Scan or photograph anything you receive from Equifax, Experian, TransUnion, or a collector and upload it to your CDM portal within one week. Late uploads slow the next round.

3

Pay every open account on time

Payment history is 35% of your FICO score — larger than every other factor combined. No dispute strategy can outrun new late payments. Set up autopay on everything you can.

4

Do not open new credit without checking with us

A single new hard inquiry or account can undo weeks of utilization work. Text or email before you apply for anything — a card, a car loan, a lease — so we can time it around your file.

5

Reply to check-ins within 48 hours

Once a month we send a short update with questions or decisions we need from you. Fast replies keep the cycle moving; slow replies pause it.

6

Be honest about the file

If a debt is legitimately yours, tell us — we still have strategies (validation, goodwill, negotiated deletion) but we choose them differently than for items that are outright errors. Bad information leads to bad strategy.

Honest Answers

Common Questions

How long does credit restoration take?

Most files see the first material change inside 30–60 days after the first dispute round. A typical engagement runs six to twelve months, though heavily damaged files can take longer. We give you a written timeline estimate after the Phase 1 audit — not before, because we do not yet know your file.

Can you guarantee a specific score increase?

No. Any provider who guarantees a specific score is either misleading you or violating the Credit Repair Organizations Act. What we guarantee is the process: a written audit, mailed dispute letters every cycle, documented bureau responses, and a written summary at close. Score movement is a function of what is on your file and how you protect it going forward.

What does it cost?

Fees are quoted in writing after your Phase 1 audit, once we know the scope of the work. We do not publish a flat rate because a file with three collections and a repossession is not the same job as a file with two late payments and an old inquiry. You will see the full engagement fee before you sign anything.

Do you charge upfront?

No advance fees. Under the Credit Repair Organizations Act (and Missouri law) we cannot bill you for restoration work before it is performed. You pay after each cycle of work is completed, per the terms of your written service agreement.

Will disputing hurt my credit?

No. Filing a dispute is a consumer right under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Bureaus cannot legally penalize you for exercising it. What can hurt your score during the process is missing new payments, running up card balances, or opening new accounts — which is why the requirements above matter.

Can I do this myself?

Yes. Everything we do — pulling reports, writing dispute letters, tracking bureau responses — is legal for you to do on your own for free. What you pay us for is the audit skill (identifying every legitimate dispute basis), the drafting expertise (letters that actually get results), the documentation discipline (evidence trails when a bureau resists), and the time we take off your plate. If you have the hours and the patience to learn it, self-help works. Most of our clients would rather focus on their job and their family.

What happens if a dispute comes back “verified”?

We escalate. Options include re-disputing with additional documentation, sending a Method-of-Verification demand under the FCRA, contacting the original creditor directly, filing a CFPB complaint, or pursuing debt validation for collections. “Verified” is a starting point, not the end.

Do you work with people in bankruptcy or with recent judgments?

Yes, once the underlying matter is resolved or discharged. Some items — active judgments, unresolved child support — we cannot dispute while they are open. We will tell you plainly during Phase 1 what is workable and what is not.
